These tours began in 2010. They include a
discussion of the Cottage grounds, the architecture of the house,
and the era of John L. Robinson, the original owner of Oak Hill.
Behind the scenes spaces are toured including the basement and
summer kitchen, the maid's quarters, a view of Mansfield's skyline
from the porch roof, the balcony room, and of course, the attic, in
addition to the livings spaces. You must be able to climb
stairs and negotiate low doorways. Shoes, not including
flipflops, must be worn.
Tours are limited to no more than 15 to 18 people.
We will schedule a tour for 2 or more people.
Suggested best time is any Saturday evening about 6pm in September or
October. If you schedule a small group, we will announce it
and try to fill the tour with more people.
Price is $12 per person. Special pricing for families
consisting of parent/s and children over 10yo = $8 per person.
